CARMEN ALMOS

Senior Vice President Acquisitions & Asset Management

Carmen has a 15-year career in corporate finance and asset management. She brings extensive hotel operations and financial management knowledge to Investra where she serves as Senior Vice President of Asset Management & Acquisitions. Since joining Investra, Carmen has played a pivotal role in growing the portfolio for Investra. Carmen has been featured as a panelist at the Hunter Hotel Conference where she spoke on “What Asset Managers Expect from Operators.” Prior to joining Investra she served in an asset management capacity for IFA Hotels & Resorts and previously as a bankruptcy analyst where she developed and authored numerous plans of reorganization for debtors in Chapter 11. She is a  graduate of the University of Tennessee and holds a bachelors degree in Economics and International Business. In addition, she holds her Masters in Business  Administration (with a specialization in International Finance) from Charleston Southern University.

MATTHEW WEATHERFORD

Asset Manager

Matt Weatherford has extensive experience in commercial real estate finance, asset management and investment accounting. Matt joined Investra as an Asset Manager and has oversight and responsibility for various select-service assets across the portfolio.  Prior to joining Investra, Matt was a portfolio analyst in the debt & structured finance group at CBRE in Atlanta, GA, where he handled financial analysis, due diligence, and investor reporting for a $900-million commercial mortgage portfolio. Matt began his career as a Corporate Accountant in the Investment Accounting group at Greystar in Charleston, SC. During his time at Greystar, he was responsible for financial accounting and investor reporting for over 30 multifamily assets within Greystar’s discretionary commingled and open-ended funds. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a minor in Commercial Real Estate Finance from the College of Charleston.
